Landry's Cajun Seafood & Steakhouse of New Iberia announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award for the second year in a row.

The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.

Only the top-performing 10 percent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award. Establishments awarded the Certificate of Excellence are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account reviews ratings. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, volume and recency of reviews. Additional criteria include a business' tenure and popularity ranking on the site.

"Landry's is pleased to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence," said Alex Patout, Landry's executive chef.

"We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews," added co-owner Elaine Buteau.

Owned by Buteau and Dave and Grace Landry, the family establishment has been serving Cajun favorites since 1969. It was recently featured in Louisiana Cooking, Eating Well, Southern Living and Louisiana Life. The restaurant is a large, rustic Acadian-style home with a charming gazebo overlooking the pond in the front. Checkered tablecloths adorn the tables and there is ample seating. Private banquet rooms are available on weekend days and weeknights for rehearsal dinners, business meetings and special occasions.

"TripAdvisor is a very respected resource for travelers looking for first class experiences," said Fran Thibodeaux, executive director of the Iberia Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau. "Congratulations to Landry's restaurant owners, Elaine Buteau and David and Grace Landry, and to Chef Alex Patout and his entire staff!"
