The 2nd annual Octoberfest: German Wine and Cheese Tasting will include sampling four wines with cheeses from Germany. Last year's selection of Rieslings included one from the castle of Schloss Vollrads and a Liebfraumilch wine made by the Rhine River. Seating is limited to 50 guests.

Community members and their animal companions FUN-raise for local non-profit organizations by dressing up for Halloween (click on website link below to vote). The winning pair will be announced during a reception at Shadows, which is free and open to all ages. Guests are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy snacks, drinks, music, and a “spooky” scavenger hunt. Pets will not be allowed. As part of the Shadows’ coronavirus policy, guests are encouraged to wear masks when unable to social distance.

Ranch Sorting is an event that pits a team of two riders on horseback against the clock. Teamwork is the key with both riders working in harmony to cut out the correct cattle and drive them to the pen while keeping the wrong numbered cattle back.
