The Bayou Teche Museum, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution and Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, and funded by BHP, will present Water/Ways, a six-week traveling exhibit, Oct. 16-Nov. 27, 2021.

The Bayou Teche Scenic Byway received the prestigious designation of National Scenic Byway by the Federal Highway Administration on Feb. 16, 2021.

The New Iberia Azalea Trail is back every spring (February-March, depending on the weather) with a sea of flowers.. The red, pink, white, purple and salmon colored Azaleas are not to be missed and the best way to see them is on the easy self-guided driving tour through the city and at various attractions.

COVID-19. By April 2020, there wasn't a source of media in Iberia Parish and the world that didn't encompass those words in some type of coverage.

Lives changed overnight and we’re still not sure how life will look post pandemic. Milestones such as weddings and graduations were postponed or cancelled, and home became our sanctuary.  The pace of life slowed down allowing time for families to reconnect.
