Find unique gifts for your loved ones at the Main Street Open House for the Holidays (Nov. 10, 2022), New Iberia Holiday Vendor & Craft Event (Nov. 12, 2022), Small Business Saturday (Nov. 26, 2022), Iberia Parish's farmers markets and Magic on Main holiday deals at participating merchants.
Take in local art at the L'Acadian Art Guild's Fall Exhibit (Nov. 2, 2022-Jan. 3, 2023). We'll end the month with Sounds of the Season (Nov. 27, 2022) a free Christmas concert by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra.
December
Come December, Iberia Parish has a multitude of events planned to make this holiday season memorable. Travel to the Victorian Era when you tour the Joseph Jefferson Home decorated for the holidays at Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens (Nov. 28 - Dec. 31, 2022).
Shop till you drop at the Christmas at the Barn Craft Show (Dec. 3-4). There will be over 30 vendors with a variety of handmade crafts, Santa for pictures, fun jumps, gumbo, a car show, sweets and more. Christmas in the Village (Dec. 3) will bring all the Hallmark movie vibes with a tree lighting, food, vendors, music, kids activities, photos with Santa and special surprises. Holiday Shopping on Da Bayou will have vendors from all over Southern LA with a wide variety of different crafts will come together for this holiday shopping event.
The Iberia Performing Arts League will perform "She Love Me" from Dec. 9-18, 2022.
Santa Sightings
With all the holiday happenings around Iberia Parish, the kiddos will have ample opportunities to see the jolly man. Santa Claus makes his first sightings on Dec. 3, 2022 during the Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market at Bayou Carlin Cove.
Bayou Traditions will present the Queen City Christmas Parade on Dec. 10, 2022 with a street parade on Main Street New Iberia. Families can enjoy holiday events throughout the day, including a Christmas themed breakfast at Pancakes & PJs with Santa, holiday shopping at local retailers, and a community scavenger hunt at the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce's Very Berry Christmas Quest.
The jolly man will then follow the magical elf trail to the fishing town of Delcambre with the Project Graduation Gumbo Cookoff, Boat Parade (Dec. 10, 2022) and Main Street Christmas Parade (Dec. 11, 2022).
With all these exciting events, the holidays are a wonderful time to visit the South’s merriest North Pole, Iberia Parish.
